The book is geared towards the excellent, although somewhat eccentric Lake Aircraft four and six seat flying boats, but the techniques that Steve describes just as much apply to smaller and larger boat hulled flying machines.

Dave, in his post of 3 January, refers to having seen two flying boat hulls at Bawdsey Ferry in the s.For a full history it is recommended to read ‘Seaplanes-Felixstowe’ by Gordon Kinsey published by Terence Dalton This whole episode, (now mainly forgotten?), makes for fascinating reading to anybody in the slightest bit interested in our aviation history.
